Iterable customer events
Iterable can forward customer events you name, such as purchases or signups, so journeys can start, wait, or exit on them. Your JustAI team sets up that forward with you.
The system webhook is a different path. It reports sends, opens, clicks, and the other delivery events for messages JustAI sends through Iterable. Those events show up in journey analytics. They do not appear under Events, and they do not update customer profiles.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”- Each person you message has an
emailtrait on their customer profile. Iterable delivery finds recipients by that address. - You have a short list of the Iterable events the first journeys need. Event names in JustAI have to match exactly, including case.
What to give your JustAI team
Section titled “What to give your JustAI team”Tell your JustAI team the event names and which Iterable project they come from. They forward those events into JustAI.
Iterable does not send customer profiles to JustAI. Keep sending profiles from your data source.
Check your work
Section titled “Check your work”After the forward is on, send one test event. Its name appears under Events > Custom events after processing. See Test your connection.
Don’t replay old events through this forward after a journey is published. A matching event can start or advance that journey. See Send customer events.
